I have a friend who wants to trade me his AP2 rear bumper and tail lights for my AP1 rear bumper and tail lights. I talked to S2K Puppydad and he said he would help me and my friend but needs a template. Has anyone put AP2 lights (not the retro-fitted from hardtopguy.com) on an AP1 rear end and if so do you or anyone else have a template for it?

 

bumper is an easy fit, just make a couple little brackets for the two lower clips as the rear bumper is lower on an ap2. the tail lights are easy, take the foam gaskets off of the ap2 lights and use that as a template for cutting the metal out, also you need to do some creative wiring as the keys are different on the plugs and jacks. There are a few write ups on it if you look for it. I used them when I did mine.
