thats obvious, but has anyone ordered them? or suggest one...im just trying to get some info with someone that has worked with a mesh before
well i have been looking around and i just want feedback from someone that has bought a certain type of mesh it could even be for vented hoods, but just trying to see whats the best way to go....and if you got advice for when i get it then i would really appreciate it
get something along these lines: http://www.customcargrills.com/products.asp?id=56
I would go with Small Perforated Aluminum Grill Mesh Sheets...pick the look you want but also keep in mind it needs to flow air to be effective. i would avoid the wire types of grills, they look too cheap and homemade IMHO.
use a drimmel or wheel cutter to shape it
Buy coated sheets or clear coat the sheets (being sure to coat the cut edges) before install...even if you buy coated stuff, still cover the cut edges with clear nail polish or something...I also suggest grinding/sanding the edges to make them smooth before clear coating. the cut edges have a way of hurting you, they are prickly sumbitches....LOL
Not sure about the best way to attach it to bumper...my INGS+1 bumpers had pot metal tabs with bendable flanges epoxied onto the inside fiberglass...those eventually failed after years of exposure and have to be re-applied but seemed to be the best and cleanest way to install the grills

back when the tamps crew went through its hood venting stage we ordered sheets of the perforated grill but I don't remember if we found a local source or ordered it online somewhere. RXDI is our resident hood venting guru and could probably tell you where he found some of this material at local hardware or metal companies...that may yield some better pricing than the online "grill" companies
