Don't know if you've heard or read about the Auto Show In Motion thats coming to Hallandale Beach (Gulfstream Race Track) 12/5-12/8. It's pretty cool basically you get to test drive a BUNCH of different cars (FOR FREE) on different tracks. I've already registered (again it's FREE) I'll give you the link if you are interested in it, just hit the "register" button and select a date/time. Looks fun and since Acura is there maybe they'll let us test drive the NSX

Thanks Cindy! I just registered on Thursday morning. The event is sponsored by GM, so the only sports car that will be there is the Corvette. I might check out a truck too.

 

Chance to rag on some new cars... The H2 track looks interesting. Perhaps I can catch some air in a couple of spots.

 

Actually if you read the first page it lists, Acura, Honda, Lexus, BMW, and others... not just GM though. Weird! Oh well Corvettes on the list to test drive, too bad it's a oval type of track. Do want to run the H2 over that nice course they got set up . Hehe Should be fun. Let me know how it goes though!! and what I can expect.

 

Just registered for Sat morn, I wanna drive the vette, sorry little 4 corner track for the vette though

I'm going on Fri morning, so I'll try to let everyone know how it all works out.

I know there are no salespeople there, but I'm still skeptical about the true "fun factor" with this event. A friend talked me into it and it could be interesting....

 

me and my dad are going on thursday. so i guess i will probably see josh there. my dads bringing his 911 twin turbo maybe they will let him run it on the track

 

Or, he could let ME run it on the track .

 

I just got back from the show. It was interesting and fun - especially the Corvette drive . I was pleasantly surprised that they had several ZO6s (manual), not the standard model. Also, there is one automatic t-top coupe. For those of you planning to go later this week, you must drive a regular sedan before driving the Corvettes and a regular truck before driving the H2s. The crowd was pretty light during the 2.5 hours that I was there, but I suspect the weekend will be busier.

The Corvette drive is timed, so see if you can beat my time: 16.031. That stood as the fastest time for a couple of hours until someone beat it by 0.047 seconds . Beware - you only get 2 laps in the car, one reconnaissance lap and one timed lap.

 

YEAY!!! I can't wait now!
