First off, sorry for the blind PM to you. We are reaching out to you because we either know you personally or you are on the roster here in the Florida forum on S2ki. We want to thank you in advance for reading what follows. We have a great opportunity to really help a great little girl and I hope all of you share in my sentiment….

As some of you already know, a good friend of ours Ron (Blacknot) lost his wife recently to sudden health complications. She is survived by not only Ron but a beautiful daughter named Adrianna. They are both exceptional people and an absolute asset to the S2000 Community.

We are writing you today see if you would like to contribute to a fund we are setting up for Adrianna. We can see no better way to honor her mother’s memory than to purchase savings bonds for the express purpose of contributing to her daughter’s education.

Ron has been such a resource in our Florida S2000 community and is one of the most selfless and helpful people we know. This contribution to his daughter’s future would be a blessing for his family and would show him a kindness and level of respect that no card or flowers ever could.

We propose that anyone who can contribute, please find it in your hearts to do so. We would not reach out like this and expect involvement from everyone. This would be purely voluntary and discreet on your part. The amount is not important, the gesture is. We plan on crafting a nice letter from the “community” and will present this to them both at the next public function in the Florida community.

We know many of you do not know him and do not know us either, for that matter. As a former Community Organizer for the Florida forums and a trusted treasurer for many past meets and events, we hope that you can trust us when we say this is 100% legitimate. We can, and will, produce a full disclosure of funds to anyone wanting to see the final outcome.

We will keep a spreadsheet of all monies taken in and by whom for the above purpose alone. No one names or any other information will be stored for ANY list or marketing purposes. We are affiliated with no such endeavor.

Three weeks from now we will take whatever amount we collect and purchase savings bonds in her name and present them as soon as possible. If we receive funds after that, we will see how much it is and either purchase another bond or present it as cash to Ron to put into her college fund.

We are acting kind of rogue on this and want to keep this a secret from Ron as we know he will just feel awkward if he knows we are doing this ahead of time. We did not get CO approval to approach you on this so this fact should reflect negatively on them.
