with the car running the alternator output should be between 14-16 volts.

i still think that battery is bad even if it still tested good. sometimes with the stock honda batteries we have to test a battery 3 times or more before we get it to test bad. it will do some similar problems to what your seeing and still start up fine as well.

i would like to know what the alternator did though. anything above 14 with and without loads is fine, even if its just 14.1 which is actually where ive seen most of our cars at.

yea, that was while the car was on bro. i got a new one.

Im still gonna be payin attention to it. all last night it didnt flicker.

now, with the alternator. i am seeing that under no load the diode is at 13.97V. With load, the diode is at 13.45V. Now that i see that it should be above 14, i will go back later this week and get it tested with the new battery. With that being said, does it matter whether there is a new battery or not?

my car has been doing this for a few thousand miles now, I am pretty sure it is the alternator as well. The battery was replaced before it started happening...

alright then. jump on the flickering train haha.

I have a warranty specifically for the engine parts. do u think this would be covered under that warranty? if this starts happening again, i will just take it to the dealer and have them deal with it.

Alternator may or may not be under the fine print. Look really close!

alernator might be under warranty. battery wont.

a new battery will not throw off alternator testing.

grounds, grounds, grounds, check your grounds, in fact i found the factory ground is poor, from battery to firewall, check connections, I like to add a 4 guage battery ground to shock tower, on drivers side 4 guage shock tower to mount bolt on alt. I have seen .8 voltage increase at battery and 1.2 voltage change in rear at an amp install. plus the car started easier and idled smoother
