Default To Buy or Not to Buy a New Radio

Ok so the hubby and I have been looking into buying a new radio for my ap2 '04 S. However, I still want to be able to use my dash controls by my steering wheel and we're having no luck in finding a radio/harness that will let me keep the use of the controls.
Does anyone know if such a thing is a possible or has any knowledge to lend forth? I also am wanting to get a harness for the I-pod so the data (and not just the audio) is transferred and displayed on the radio.

Thanks!

It is possible. Modifry's DCI. Works like a champ. About $100.

Yup, modifry is the only solution. Truthfully I went through the same dilema when I switched radios; I LOVED my dash controls. But now I'm so used to them not working I can live with it.

The IR DCI works on Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Eclipse, JVC, Kenwood, Nakamichi, Panasonic, Pioneer, and Sony (except Sony HI-R).

The Wired DCI: http://www.modifry.com/products/dci/...patibility.htm

I have a wired DCI for an Alpine (that has a wired 3.5mm input for the wired radio controls) with a spare DCI harness and pre soldered to a Modifry radio harness (basically making it the same as Modifry's PNP harness) for sale in my for sale thread..

That's in case you decide to go with an alpine headunit with wired steering wheel control input..

It will take a little while to get used to, but it is well worth it. Just do it.
