OMG!!! I think when it comes to pads, I'll stick to oem. Unfortunately, it takes things like this to open peoples eyes to the quality of a product. The only good thing about this is that, hopefully, it won't happen to anyone else.

I have been waiting for this post to come up. really sucks about the whole thing. You spend good money on something the company says is a quality product but when it comes down to it they dont wanna back the product up.

i think many people will be watching what they do to/for u, aswell as what they do to address the problem, in deciding if to ever buy any product from this company.

ill be sticking to my tried and true greenstuff (its not like i have many options though lol)

good luck with it brother, i should see u late satuday night... ill call u....

i saw the other thread before... ill copy here...

sorry to hear about your wheels and your whole experience... you and I have talked about the new GTSport compound before, about the squeal... i'm only using them at Sebring... ive swapped between OEM and GTS 3 times now... 1st time, no shim grease, squealed like crazy, 2nd time used shim grease, no squeal, went to track, "burned" off the grease, squealed like crazy... 3rd time, no grease... went to the track... now on the street for the last week... no squeal... does have a little sound... but totally livable, no squeal what-so-ever... go figure... but hearing your story, theyre coming off next weekend... was your's squealing in the 2 months it was doing the damage?

i have 400-500 miles of track time at Sebring on them now... street tires... but the wear on the pads and my rotor's are barely noticable... i have many more track days left on them...

in retrospect, me and couple of other's who have ridden with me at Sebring were surprised at how good these suppossed "Auto-X" pads were holding up to 40 minute sessions at Sebring... i guess, it could be seen as the "pads are good", but they should be sold as track only pads and not for the street... they definitly do market them as streetable, which maybe mis-guided...i initially bought them with the intention of keeping them on my car full time on the street and track... but only started swapping them due to the ridiculous squeal...
