The Cars of Jon Hall in Daytona
There's been an unprecedented glut of used S2Ks on the lot at Jon Hall Honda in Daytona lately. Last count, as of yesterday, had only one remaining, a white '01. There was a black and a yellow as of about 2 weeks ago but I think they're gone now.
Anyone on this board buy or trade those cars in? Anyone here?
I'm in Daytona. Anyone else on this board live "out in these parts"? I don't check the FL owners page much.

I live in South Daytona. I saw the white and yellow there at Jon Hall 2 weeks ago when I went by to pick up a part that I ordered there. By the way they were asking 26,900 for each of those (advertised in the newspaper as Managers Special). A salesman told me that they were still asking MSRP + for 2002 models when they get them. Service department apparently doesn't see many come in for service as they couldn't answer many questions that I had when I first bought mine. Bought mine used from a local wholesaler that bought it at an auction.

Guess the lack of response here explains the lack of response to the Amelia Island post (posted by a Virginian and responded by a Pennsylvanian...me). I saw a huge Honda dealer on Rte. 9A on the Jaxville loop...must not sell many S2000's Does your FL group really ignore the entire top 1/3 of the state?

Actually I'm fairly new to this board, but I'm sure no one in the state would be denied group participation. I don't recall reading any posts on this board from someone from the J'ville area, but I'm sure there are members there. My reply to George's post today is the first time I realized there was anyone in my area on the board. I saw the post you referred to, but unfortunately I've never been to Amelia Island area. Also, I've been in San Jose CA for the last 2 weeks.

Jeez, I live in South Daytona too. Howdy neighbor. Funny, I've never seen a red S2K driving around. Somebody has a black one, which I've seen from time to time. I've not seen a red.
I've typically been the first S2K to get service work done at Jon Hall, since my miles are fairly high and I'm one of the members of this board, who seem to know before most about TSBs and stuff. Rick, the service writer at Jon Hall, knows me by name, and I remember being the first to get the seatbelt recall done there. They don't work with many S2000s, but they mean well and are patient with perfectionist owners like us.
If ya see the silver with the challenger plates proclaiming the redline, honk!

George-
If you see it during the week, it's probably the wife driving it. Normally it's a weekend toy. We saw a silverstone/black at Sams just before Christmas and My wife said that she liked that color on the S2000. We bought ours just after Thanksgiving and we love it! Unfortunately I spend a lot of time on the road and don' get as much diving time as I would like! I'll be looking forward to finally seeing you on the road one of these days!
