Has anyone thought about having a leather patch sewn in, seems like it would more durable than duct tape and would have a decent look to it.....

I don't have any real wear yet on my 03, but I am sure I will be opening it and closing it a lot more than the previous owner....

Maybe not sewn but they make pretty good adhesives for fabrics. That's probably a good idea too.

Got mine replaced a few months back. A common problem. Fixed free of charge. However, let me know if you can still open the "secret compartment" completely when you get the car back and you put your top down. They moved a bar somewhat (maybe the culprit), and now I can only partially open the compartment.

What is the "secret compartment" everyone speaks of ? Is this the upper "glove" box ?

The worst part about the holes for me is the extra noise the make at highway speeds, covering them makes a HUGE difference. I wish I could get my top replaced
