Default chipping paint?

hi friends.

i took my girl to honda today because the paint on her right front fender has bubbled up and is chipping off.

they had the warranty people and the 'official honda paint dude' look at it and they told me they werent going to consider doing anything to it because i have aftermarket wheels. WTF(?).

is this a TOTAL cop out or is this a viable reason to not fix it and im just pissed?

the paint chipping began when there were NO wheels on my car. we noticed it when clint bent down to look at something in the wheel well when the car was up on jackstands this weekend.

clint said to find stock wheels to put on there long enough to ake it back and try it again but i dont know?

im bothered by the whole thing now since my car looks raggedy.

help(?).

I would be contacting someone higher up in the Honda Organization. How possibly could aftermarket wheels cause paint to blister? Stay on this one!!!

Does anyone know of a really good paint shop that we could take the car to that won't charge an arm and a leg? One that does body work and will repaint the car another color possibly.

blistering paint or paint coming off of the urethane bumper is most likely casued by defective primer and/or primer not applied at all or, applied improperly. It happend to a dodge shadow I owned and my Infiniti G20.

I find it impossible to fathom why aftermarket wheels has ANYTHING to do with the quality of paint on your bumper.

borrow some stockers and take it to another dealership

They can't do that. They have to prove that the wheels caused the problem....
