Thumbs down clutch

Ok the problem I have is I think my clutch is bad due to the fact when I go from 1 to 2 it goes in but it grinds

If not, 2nd gear synchro's. I have heard of 2nd gear tranny problems before.

It's probably not your clutch. It is more than likely your syncros.

2nd gear grind has been an issue with ap2 tranny's. If you're on warranty let them ckeck it out

no i got it used and the only time it does it is when you get it to 6grand and shift and only then how hard and about how much $$ is it 2 fix

I think it all depends on where you take it. I guess if someone could tell us the going rate for mechanics then we could get you a ball park figure.

I am sure with even OEM replacement of clutch parts he is looking at least 900.00 or so including labor and after resurfacing of reusable parts....at least

Change your tranny fluid.

Mine was doing the same thing, I changed the tranny fluid over to redline MT90 and it solved all my problems.

I think he is talking about the syncros?

Which are you talking about?

Clutch- $600 labor +parts

Transmission work- ??????

Transmission fluid change out- $20 depending on the fluid you use.

I would change the fluid first to see if that helps.
