Default Coggin Honda Experience

Well, I finally got some time to get my blistering passenger side door panel looked at. I took the car to Coggin Honda on Atlantic about two weeks ago. They looked at the panel and decided to repair it under warranty. It took them about a week to get the door panel in, and this morning I took the car in to have it installed. It was done in about two hours, and it looks good as new. Time will tell if any rattles develop after taking the door apart, but so far so good.

I also had them look at a small door ding I gave myself (if you pull up to a gate-opening dial pad at night and can't reach the pad from the car, be VERY careful if you open your door, there just might bricks there- doh!). Anyway, they had a paintless ding repair guy there and he got it out for $53. Money very well spent in my opinion.

Anyway, just wanted to share my first experience with Coggin, which so far has been positive. Everyone there seemed to want to take special care of a S2k.

Coggin Honda in Orlando is a totally different experience They forgot to tighten my drain plug on my first and last oil change there then tried to blame it on me, I knew something was wrong as I pulled in my driveway and the car was smoking as the last of the oil was dripping out of the engine, They finally owned up - the absolute worst dealership I have ever dealt with!

My car is opened up over there right now, syncro's/ gear issue. They tried to blame me for it "mishift/abuse" and said the warranty was denied. After some sword fighting the district manager approved for it to repair as a one-time "goodwill" repair. I think that I will be satisfied in the end, but the customer service was not too good. I am nervous about the repair now and can't wait to get my car back.

I had a friend who took his SI there years ago before they moved to that location on Atlantic. He went in for a simple oil change, but they forgot to add oil. Needless to say, engine went kaboom and he got a new engine about 6mts later. Maybe their service has gotten better *shrug*

Wow, sounds like I was lucky. Sorry to hear others have had trouble.

I got the car back today and it seems to be fine. I've been without it since Monday, and I am just happy this crap is over with.

I don't know about their service department, but their parts department is the worst....It takes more than 10 minutes before someone even acknowledges you at the parts counter. and then the cashiers desk, a bunch of clueless airheads!
