Default Convertible top wear

I purchased my s2k used about 9 months ago. 2 months into my s2k, i noticed on both sides wear marks on the top and little wear openings. I took it to honda and they only covered me 50%. 7 months down the road the marks are in the same areas again, took it to honda and they said if there is no opening, that the district manager wont do anything about it. The service manager stated that I was the only one he has seen with this problem that he believes its only with my car. I was going to take the car to an upholstery shop and to get their opinion if this is a normal issue and if they can determine what exactly is causing the problem. Honda wont even patch it first off cause they state they really don't know wear to and also they said if you patch it on the convertible top, you may cause it to get worse because when it retracts it would put more strain you can say in the glued area. Im here in miami fl, have any other s2k owners seen this problem with the S2k. I have pictures if anybody would like to see to compare. The way i found my holes was cleaning the plastic inside. Its not visible in my situation just looking back when your sitting down. If others are having this situation, mabey we can meet up and go to a honda dealer and try to get this takin care of with the district manager. Thanks

One more thing, the reason im posting this is because this particular honda dealership where i purchased the car makes it seem like its only my vehicle with this problem even though i've read many vehicles with this problem in the US. I thought in the back of my mind that im always hearing here in south florida and broward that the tops get slashed. So for those people, they wouldn't notice this issue since they already had it replaced. I use my top 4-5 days a week. Honda's response to that is that I use it to much that I should reduce the amount of times I lower the top. Per the District Manager...

Many people have had this problem. I would think that you might want to do a search for "covertible top wear" and you'll find a lot of information.

Your car is definately not the only one. Just curious, what year is your car?

Didn't have to look very far, it was about 20 down on the list in this forum.
