Not unless you bought a JDM ITR.
I might know a thing or two about ITRs, I've only been involved in ITRCA since it's creation, and have been one of the organizers of the ITR Expo since 2003.....
CD Player was standard since 1997, A/C was optional in 97 and 98, standard in 2000 & 2001.
The block off plate itself was a JDM piece that some people installed after they removed the radio, they also had a clock block off in Japan, all US cars had the clock standard.
If you really feel that you are right, go to HT and post about it in the ITR forum, then let me know what the responses are.

I'm not upset, but I know the car quite well.
Radio/CD Player was standard on all US model years of the ITR. Post anything from Acura saying it wasn't.
Or just ask hundreds of owners elsewhere. There's no need to do anymore research, I already know the answer. A dealer may have removed it and added the block off plate, hell some dealers installed sunroofs in them, but I'm speaking from the standpoint of how US models were shipped from the factory, and I've never seen a brochure, or ITR itself, that didn't have the radio as a standard feature. Heck I would have liked it to not have the radio, and not have power windows, and mirrors, etc.. but..
Sorry to hear that your R was stolen, that's one of the negatives about owning one
If you still had it I would have invited you to our VIR event this year. Too bad S2K's can't come without a rollbar.. can't even drive my own car at the event
But yes, we are off topic now.

Bought mine new without a radio in late 97. I miss both dearly had a 2000 that was stolen in 04. All ITR topic discussions aside agree or disagree
, I think you get my point about the CR.....

well ... maybe this ITR discussion does offer some insight ... such as:
I don't think it was originally published in ITR literature ... but, I remember reading/hearing that the ITR roof section was actually 'pressed' or manufactured with different or more creases to increase rigidity along with the braces. Is that true?
If it is ... then it could also be the quiet little secret about the CR. The same technique may not pay off as much considering the comparison of a unit-body car vs. one with more of a frame. So, who knows, maybe there are little enhancements to the car that Honda isn't sharing right now.
I'm not a fan of the look ... but then again, i'm not a hardcore racer. And there is no doubt that those body changes are definitely for more function than fashion (for me at least).
I LOVE the idea of faux-suede. If you haven't sat in an EP3 Si (04+Si Hatchback) then you won't understand. It is a great material and combining that with the mesh insert in the mid-section is incredibly comfortable and MUCH cooler than all leather. It also wears better! I had a set in my RSX-S and would have put them in the S2 if they would have fit.(<tired of seeing my leather getting wrinkled from my fat but)
I'll just be interested to see how well the CR suspension works vs. AP1/2. Between springs, shocks, and sway bars ... i'll be happy to wait for somebody to wreck one to pick up those pieces.
Here's another ITR comparison ... how many people took the ITR engine, suspension, ect and put it in a EG (Civic Hatchback)? I'm thinking the scenario would apply to the CR also and our cars.
also ... they claim 2 seconds at Tochigi(sp?) ... that is pretty impressive. Not sure if that can be done with just the tires (even though they are 140 treadware rated)

...I can feel the bile rising in the back of my throat...
I must say, I am very, very dissapointed
Honda, grow a friggin pair. Look at Toyota. Look at their new soon to be hybrid supra. Now that's how you make a revolutionary step in car design...this CR seriously looks like a fast and the furious 4 cover car. WTF were they thinking?
