Default CR swap

The gang has been telling to mod my sus first. I have an 07 and she's my daily commute. Does anyone have the dirt on the CR swap? Not looking to get too stiff, I drive from FL to GA several times a year and tend to like my kidneys to stay functioning.

Let me know if the CR swap is the way to go or if you have other suggestions.

yeah, i have installed the complete CR suspension on my 2007. if you are in orlando, you're more than welcome to test drive my car.

it's a lot stiffer than stock 2007, not a kidney killer but i wouldn't call it comfortable for long trips.

here is some info:

From the "official spring thread:"
(spring stiffness in lb/in)
MY00-01 = 218/291
MY02-03 = 240/230
MY04-07 = 256/207
MY08-UP = 274/225
MY08 CR = 375/264

don't trust my math is correct but if i did the math correctly, based on Honda press releases the suspension differences between my 2007 and the 2008 CR suspension is as follows:

spring rates: +45% front, +26% rear.
damping rates: +60% front, +37% rear.
sway bars: Front= 26.5mm vs. CR 28.6mm. Rear= 25.4mm vs. CR 26.5mm.

Matt's car is the best handling stock suspensioned car I've ever driven. It is really impressive. A bit of understeer if you are too slow into a corner that is easily controlled with your right foot. Get on it in the corner and it never felt like it was going to bite me. Excellent communication at the limit and balanced.

And compared to my coilovers, the car took bumps like a Caddy. Very comfortable and forgiving. Not words usually used to describe an s2k's handling.

We have the CR package on the race car. So far it's been a handful. I'll report back when we get it sorted out.

I agree with Neggie, Matts car is Very neutral. I love the way it handles. My only thing about it would be that for the money I would go with a set of PSS coilovers.

I've heard a lof of great things on the PSS9's and that's probably what I would go with if I planned on shelling out some dough.

For a daily I would say dont even bother with the PSS9's and go with the strait PSS's. Non adjustable but you will save about $400.
