I'm going to try this tomorrow. Are you saying since I have an AP1 I should put one on the rear hose as well? I was reading somewhere where a guy only did the rear hose.
You have to do the front one for it to work. You already have a pcv valve on the rear from the factory. There is nothing on the front breather so you are adding one to create vacumn. AP1's use a plastic pcv valve and Ap2's use a metal one. Most guys that have ap1's change out the rear also even though it's not necessary. When installing the pcv valve make sure you put it on in the right direction since it's a one way valve.

Thank you sir. I'll start with 1 and see how it works. I've been waiting for some input from someone I trust (and yes I said I trust you).

I would just do the front one because thats all that is needed for it to work. If you do a search on Krank vents there are pictures of Ap1's that have converted the rear to the Supra metal one. All it is a check valve and why waste the money replacing something that already works. Every Ap1 owner that has done this has almost gotten rid of all oil consumption. If you read the threads there are plenty of people that dissagree with this for reasons i cant figure out. Some say it puts stress on the spark plug seals that is why you hear the "chicken noise". In my experience this is BS. I replace my spark plug seals when needed because they dry out from all the heat and start to fail. Plus they are cheap. When i painted my valve cover i ordered the kit which includes a valve cover gasket and the 4 spark plug seals. To be honest i'm anal about my cars and when i remove the valve cover to adjust the valves or for any reason i put new gaskets in. They are made of rubber and it's always good to have a nice seal so you dont leak oil.

i called advanced autoparts and they have one for $2.44. However, the part number is PV1009, as oppose to PV1009M. Whats the difference?
