Don't mess up the handling of the RX8 with the S motor. I think you are kidding because you have no idea what the cost would be to do the swap correctly.

No K20 in the S. Don't need it the F20 will do everything the K20 will do for the money.

Buy a used S and use the extra money for the performance and suspension upgrades.

Don't waste your money on the CR. Unless you like riding around with the hardtop on all the time. Florida summers = getting caught out in the rain.

You can get a used S much cheaper than a CR make it handle a lot better make it faster and have a soft top to protect you from the unexpected FL rains.

but jeff dont forget the lotus exige 111 uses a k20 and it owns the 2zz lotus. The mr2 spyder wont use the f20 because the f20 is fr and the spyder is an mr. The k20 has pretty close mounting points to the 1zz

I cant see why anyone wants a CR. Nice car but defeats the purpose of having a convertible. Even worse than having t-tops (at least you can store them in the car for when it starts to rain). Sound to me as if you need a good daily driver and then a car you can play with. Hardly ever good to have both in the same car.

Doesn't matter. the honda motor will mess up the rx8 handling and would cost too much to modify. not worth it. K20 or -F20.

buy a used S spend the extra money on performance upgrades. mostly suspension and gearing. 4.56s or 4.77s KW V3s and a good 4 wheel balance and alignment and call it a day.

I can tell you from my little experience at Sebring that u will be more than happy with that setup.

But I disagree with the Captain. The CR is a track worthy Honda built auto right out of the box. It's not designed for your daily commute, it is designed to take you to and from the track, but most importantly around the track.

The suspension is clearly a success, and the wings and things add the necessary downforce to keep the car planted at high speeds. It didn't take much to make the otherwise vanilla stock S2K into a screamer. Like it or not, Honda did a great job with the CR.

No stock exige uses a k20 engine and my Exige S with the 2zz toyota motor puts down 227 rwhp bone stock.

I'll stick with my 2zz.

Most people haven't even gotten to the limits of a stock S2000, nevermind the CR.

but the 2zz only has 197 whp what does the exige s have done to the stock 2zz because I know that 1.8 won't beat that Honda 2.0L unless it has been modified. That k20 type s will kill a celica gts.
