but the 2zz only has 197 whp what does the exige s have done to the stock 2zz because I know that 1.8 won't beat that Honda 2.0L unless it has been modified. That k20 type s will kill a celica gts.
Right, but just slapping on a supercharger can take you well to 300 horsepower and it's vastly cheaper. The Exige S has a supercharger on it. A simple tune will bring it closer to 250 rwhp.

I'd agree than the k20 is a better engine, but an engine swap is a lot of money my friend.

I agree with Brennon. FI is much easier, more practical, and most likely more reliable than a swap.

If you're going to do a swap you might as well go big. Drop a LS7 in the RX8 and that'd be sick, but a F20 isn't going to be a big enough improvement to be worth the money, time, and effort.

woah ok i think we are getting everything mixed up.
Lets drop the 8 and proceed with the MR2 Spyder. I think the spyder would be nasty with the K20. Sure the 2zz would be eaiser to drop in because its a direct bolt up but it doesnt produce the power of a K20. and the reason i brought the exige into it is because the lotus uses the same mounting points as the Spyder. Plus the K20 has one of the most nasty vtec pops i have ever heard.

Most (Flower Power) people haven't even gotten to the limits of a stock S2000, nevermind the CR.
some of us test the limits as often as possible.

in that case I would just get a cr. I was reading an article on suspention for the s2 out of 10 suspention companies the stock cr took 4th or 3rd on track times. The cars that beat it were the spoon race car and a couple others but the cr was bone stock
Can you try and find where you read that? That sounds like a good read!
