I'll be heading up that way (GA/ NC/ TN) at the end of August, and wanted to see if anyone else from FL was going to the Tail of The Dragon event that weekend that could convoy with us.

I figured there's less people attending from FL in the fall, and that's probably why I didn't get much response in the main FL forum.
Anyone from up there doing this?

 

I am. Current plan is to head up on that Thursday.

I think we are staying in Macon Wed. night to make the trip a little shorter the next day.
I know in the spring they posted times of when the caravan would be passing through different areas, but it doesn't seem like the FL groups have alot of interest in the fall of the dragon.

 

I'm guessing that's due to the fact it's so early this year. I'd love to go back later in the fall, but that's when my schedule gets really busy.

Don't know what time I'll be heading out on Thursday (depends on whether or not there's a FL caravan), but I'd more than likely be in the Macon area early to mid-afternoon.

Yeah, I was afraid I'd miss the caravan, because we're going to try to get out of Macon fairly early to get up to NC/ GA around noon or so.

I'll keep checking and see if I can meet up with the caravan on the way back down.
