Default Driver's side headlight out.... anyone have this problem???

Well I turned the headlights on tonight. The drivers side started flickering and went completely dead. Each time you turn the lights on, it flickers and goes out.

I heard the transformers are really expensive replace. I guess what really irks me is that the car has only 7000 MI, MY2000 so it's out of warranty. As you can see it's not my daily driver.

See, you gotta be out there driving it daily to make sure it doesn't get rusty and have these problems!lol But really, what if the build date of the car was in June, July of 2000? Then you should still be under warranty.

ONCE in the 2 years I've had the car the driver headlight did not come on...very weird. This happened with maybe 3000 miles on the car and has not happened since. I'm now at 35,000.

Well the car was looked at today, and I was told that it is a bad power inverter.

Apparently this problem has been ocurring with the japanese vehicles versus US version.

I was told that they will give me good will assistance

The total cost of the repair is: $479.32

I'm hoping they will cover a good portion of the cost

Good luck, Rich.

If you have to pay that whole bill, you'll also have to change your name from 'rich' to 'poor'.

I bet we can strap a mag lite on there for a lot less. Look at it this way Rich, that is just more you had to trade to get the beautiful car you have now.

Doesn't help but that's the best justification I have.

Good Luck

Way to go Honda!!!!

They agreed to pick up the whole tab for the inverter even without the car being under warranty. A company that stands behind it's product.

Wow, you must have gotten lucky. I rarely hear good things about Honda and their service. That's cool.
