Emergency Contact Information
Within the magnetic strip of your drivers license there is emergency contact information. In case of an emergency a police officer can swipe your license and have instant access to that information. Just recently the DHSMV added room for a 2nd contact within the magnetic strip. The following link will allow you to update that information and add the 2nd contact. Hopefully you'll never need it, but it sure will be nice to have as much correct information in there as you can should that time ever arise. It takes just a second to update.

if its anything like the magnetic strip on the back of my Visa ... it is a futile effort for me.

Also ... if you have a cell phone i've been told that you should store an emergency contact(s) under the name of "ICE" = in case of emergency. Some paramedics groups are asking for people to volunteer to do this so that they have a chance to ask a loved one about medications and medical conditions on the scene. Makes good sense to me too.
