Talking Exhaust Switch

I happened across a guy that was just giving his stock 2004 exhaust minus the resonator away. I jumped on it because I love the sound. I did this by myself. It took about 2 1/2 hrs to remove the old exhaust and 30 minutes to put the new one on. Thanks to whoever invented dish soap. I was very suprised when I got under there and realized that the only thing that was holding the thing on was 3 nuts at the cat and 5 rubber mounts. Those rubber mounts were the hardest thing about the whole deal.

One word....WD40. It works wonders on those rubber mounts. Of course this is information that probably would have helped earlier

Dang, you did it with the wheels on!? Wow. I took my wheels off and it still took me about 5 hours to swap exhausts by myself.

I started at 4:00 and was done in time to go to church at 7:00. Btw, anyone want an ap1 exhaust with 71000 miles on it?

I've been thinking about doing that same thing.

Any chance you can get some pics from about knee-high?

Here are some pics at what I'm guessing knee high is. Hope this helps.

The dishsoap worked well on the mounts after I determined that brute force would not be adequate.
