Venom, you obviously have been there before, and I resemble those remarks! That pretty well sums it up. Not somwhere you want to take your S but loads of fun. Basically Tampa celebrates the invasion of the city by said pirate Jose Gaspar. The invasion takes place around 11:00 or 12:00 followed by the parade down Bayshore blvd. Lots of streets downtown on the south end will be closed off. If you guys are going best to get there early around 10. Parking can be an issue, try parking at Univ. of Tampa and walking over the bridge on Kennedy Ave. You will do a lot of walking. Several stages will be set up with entertainment after the parade.

Deb, bring your own beads and you won't have to worry about getting any on the streets. Guys, bring your beads too in case you would like to "give them away".

Didn't mean to scare anyone away. The parade route is very long. Lots of people will fit along Bayshore Blvd. The atmosphere is similar to Mardis Gras. I also need to pass on the event. I made a mistake in my schedule. I'm in Phoenix right now and won't be back in town until Sunday Feb.3.

I'm actually spending a week working with Mark Basch of Basch Acura/Honda service. Taking apart NSXs all day.....did an evaporator replacement today that required the ENTIRE dash to be taken out. NEAT! He also works on S2Ks and has done supercharger installs. It's a "working" vacation.
