Default Fender ding....

My dad took my car out just for a little drive and something happened and he got a little ding on the fender wall at the top of the hump on the outer edge.(if that makes sense)

He feels HORRIBLE and hasn't really said anything all night to my mom or I and I haven't really said anything to him, I'm just kinda giving him space. The car is only a month and a half old to me so I know he feels terrible...

I was just wonering, can anyone take out dents for free? I REALLY don't want him having to pay for this because I know how bad he trully feels. I'm not even angry that it happened. I just feel bad for him because I've never seen him like this.

So, if anyone knows how to get rid of this dent (and scratch) PLEASE let me know. I don't want him having to pay for this becuase he took it out on a little spin.

Thanks so much you guys!
Nick

That really sucks man, maybe a picture of it would give us a better idea of where it's at

damn. i have a dent exactly there too. It doesnt really bother me that much. reason being i got like 5 on my passenger door. So that always takes most of my attention. haha. good luck thought with it. If its on the outer edge it will be tough to get out. might need to be completely redone if theres a crease in it.

You WILL get more dings. The "S" is a ding magnet. Just wait for a few more dings (maybe 2 weeks or so) and get them all fixed at a lower rate rather than fixing them one at a time.

Carsmetics does a pretty good job. If the scratch is through the paint they would probably have to paint the fender. It doesn't cost anything for an estimate. Then you can decide.

Well it is a little more than a ding though... it kinda looks like a baseball hit it... Not the whole baseball but the contact part. (if that makes any sense) It also has a scratch that leads to it.

If the scratch is not through the paint, it may be able to to be buffed out. They should be able to remove the dent for $85.

If you are around Tampa on the 13th there is a dent removal party post on the board that the guy is reomving dents for $50 i think.

speaking of the s2k being a magnet for dents, i was driving through a wal-mart parking lot about a month ago minding my own business looking for a parking spot when all of a sudden WHAM!!! a rogue shopping cart just flew into the rear driver side fender of my car in excess of 20 mph!!!!! i was pissed, but wal-marts going to pay for it so i guess i cant complain too much.

We will be having the dent day on the 13th of May...
You can always come down and check it out...
The guy that is doing this for us a really good friend of mine...
He will be doing something like $50 bucks a panel...
If its a size of a baseball you should def let him look at it and tell you want you should do...
