Default The first billion is always the hardest

Tiger Woods is on pace to accomplish what no other athlete has done, which is earn a $billion in their career. Yes he is currently the richest athlete in the world and worth more money than endorsement giant Michael Jordan. Tiger

Wow, but he has earned every penny. I do not mind someone earning this amount of money when it is an individual sport. I think sometimes it is silly to pay a player like A-rod so much money when he cannot win a game by himself.

I think the accomplishment is skewed

Has he won a billion dollars in WINNINGS from golf tourneys or has the bulk of it come from endorsements?

If its the latter, I bet there are atheletes that have "earned" more than him from their sports winnings.

Like all good atheletes/celebrities it's mostly from endorsements. But all that says is that he's good enough for major players in the corporate world to want his face on their goods.. Here's a break down on his earnings

Endorsement or not he has still earned it all doing something he loves. If he screws up he can only look to himself, in other sports if you screw up it might cost the entire team!

We were anchored in West Palm and there in back of us was Tiger's boat. Just glad we didn't drag .
