First Mod Session of 2004!
Daytona is dead until the end of the month when Speed Weeks starts up. Then Bike Week, Spring Break, and finally ending with BCR in April.
James, you coming by also? How's your car?

Thanks for the kind words JustBlaze and njtripface- glad to help.
I'll be starting at 9 again this Saturday - header and exhaust are going on, and whatever anyone else needs a hand with.
Clearing corners for Trueskill,
Anyone else?
I hope it's not as cold and windy this Saturday

How did the 2nd Mod Session go?
What all did you do to your car Chiung? Part and Brands? How did it go? What's your impression of the results?
I hope to make it over to the body shop tomorrow to drop off the skirts to be painted and get an estimate on fixing my hood. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks both Bryan and I will be up and running 100%.
Thanks again for checking out that mystery ringing/whistle noise on my car. I tell you though, I HATE that noise and am seriously considering going back to stock unless there's some other CAI that can be done that doesn't mimic the noise like most apparently do. Any suggestions?

Fixing your hood?!? What happened?
As far as the whistling, my Comptech did it and my AEM does it. So does your PRM we found out. I think the whistling is from the throttle body, and the OEM box does a good job of isolating the sound so it's not audible. Aftermarket intakes are usually a more direct path and the sound "escapes".
If you return to OEM, then maybe get a spoon type snorkel...

Re the hood - during a stay at the Don CeSar with Sandy before New Years I was bombed by a pelican. On a walk to dinner we noticed and, of course, went to cleaning off the hood with various products I had in the trunk.
Well...apparently the flying bastard had some sand, shell, something in his waste which led to me scratching the fool out of my hood. I discovered that part the next day when it was daylight as we were leaving the resort.
Once I got back to town I put 3 layers of Z-5 on it which helped a lot but it looks like it needs more help. A lot more help. Help that I'm not familiar with how or what to do. My car was so dirty at your house that it wasn't really noticable. Plus it was overcast. Clean and in the sun...they are there in full force unfortunately.
My plan today is to get out there in a few minutes, wash the baby, load up the skirts and get over to see my paint connection before lunch. Hopefully he'll look at it, laugh at me, and tell me it's no biggie....I hope anyway but we'll see.
Also, in re to the snorkel...I already have Sang's hose running up to that area so if I did chicken out and go back to OEM I could just dremmel a connection in the side to help increase air flow. I'd hate to do that though considering how good the PRM looks plus I have all of Nick's beautiful CF in the area. The heat shield and rail cap would be all but covered up.
BTW, what exactly did you put on your car this past weekend?

Just got back....my guy said it would be no problem to get the scratches out. He's even going to do some touchup here and there while he's at. Dropped off the skirts as well. Hopefully in a week or two the baby will be back to 100%. Some of his employees were busy preping Bryan's set while I was there.
