Gathering Interest for Private Track Day

are the laps timed?
* There is no passing when there are multiple cars on the course - SAFETY FIRST. If you are behind someone who is going slower than you, they will pull off the course into the staging area. This is not a "race". As the day goes on, most drivers will get comfortable in a group that drives at their level. Hot drivers will be grouped together as they become familiar with the track. At first, you may find this uncomfortable. But, it is a blast riding behind the cars and seeing how they manuver through the banks, turns and the 1st gear hairpin at the stage between the two straightaways. You learn much and then try your limits when you get out of the pack. Absolutely no disappointments !!!
I may be in but it'll depend on details and date.
You aren't doing instructors for novices?
Also I'd suggest no timed runs, it's hell on insurance (if you get some for the event, most tracks require it, I'd be shocked if they don't here), and it's hell on private insurance in the case of a wreck.
No run groups?
Post more details
I'd offer to help plan it but as I said I have a huge event in June already to deal with.

As far as groups, that would have to be designed as needed.
Instructions would have handled by those that are comfortable in giving them to new or interested drivers. Riders are allowed in the cars. This would be a great idea for those that never have done this type of track. For the record, no one rode with me to instruct. I just jumped in, followed the pack and applied the adhock lessons as they came along. When I had no one withing a hundred yards of me, I pushed as hard as I thought I could through a wide open turn and as I expected, did a complete spin out. It was way fun but, it showed me where there was a limit to take.....and one not to.

Any pictures of the layout we will run?

I am not computer literate to take this and draw up what was laid out for the time that I drove. But I already have a call into the mgt to see if they have something drawn up. I will post up what is made available to me. Worse case, I can fax over a scetch of what we did and then someone take that and put it on this thread. Just respond back with a fax number that I can use tomorrow during business hours.
Thanx !!
I'm scheduled to be in Bermuda June-July (assuming that Homeland Security ever finishes my umpteenth clearance investigation and I can finally complete my (captain's)license renewal) If I'm in the country I'm there.
