My two favorite Ron Zook memories...well it's really only one but whatever. The renaming of The Doak in 2004, take your pick:

1. Bobby Bowden field, so easy Ron Zook can do it.
&
2. Ron Zook Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Lesson learned by FSU: Don't dedicate your stadium to decrepit old men when the Gators come to town.

I just realized something a bit funny. UF can't be involved in a football national title game, unless it is a blowout, i.e. 1995, 1996, 2006.

As for Ron Zook, I will always credit him greatly for UF's two football titles. He was Spurrier's recruiting guru in the mid '90's and of course recruited great talent, that Urban Meyer used to win a title. In my mind, Zook should have two rings from UF, for all he contributed. Yet he has none.

If it were not for Ron Zook, UF may still be titleless.

Look out for Ron Zook coached Illinios, they will be a threat in the Big 10 very soon.

Let me think, was it... gosh I can't remember... Oh yea, was it OSU? And by OSU, I do not mean Oklahoma State. It was that team from THE State of Ohio, right?

I like and respect Troy Smith. His loss to the Gators seems to have defined his career too much to this point.

Yeah, I feel pretty bad for ole Troy. Oh well, Let's see what happens tonight. I'm actually pulling for Florida tonight, and of course OSU..... to stir the bucket up a little, just researching the standing for the last 5 years, I only saw Florida in the top 5, let alone on the list once....... OSU? Well see for yourself....... Can't compare? Come on guys, you played one helluva game last year, you won we fell apart, but as good as Florida has been lately, they simply don't have the history OSU has.... And on that note....... (for tonight).. go Gators!!!! AND GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ranking for the last five seasons, (take a deep breath). it's right on ESPN's main page for college football. Florida is only near the top of the list or even on the list once.... Ohio state, well .....

I will go look. But make no confusion, my arguement is that UF overall, athletically is much better than OSU, across all sports! That is my point.
