That was a good game, although it was hard to watch. I can't wait for the next home game though. The good news for us fans is that the line for tickets won't be so damn long anymore!

 

Is all the "best team in the state" garbage over? If not, at what point does that discussion officially end?

 

Yeah yeah yeah. We have taken a $hit on ourselves. We started the season playing good hard ball and got too bg for our pants and now we are paying for it. I don't know where they lost it but the passion is gone. It's dissappointing but hey that's the great thing about college football. Anything can happen and things change every week. The team that was playing at the begining of the year was the best team in the state. Not anymore.

BTW.... I say WE becuase I have been a USF fan since day one. I go to as many of the games as I can. I am also a UF fan. I am tired of hearing all the Gator fans talking shit about USF. Be happy that a new FL school is playing good ball. Every "true" gator fan has talked so much shit about USF this whole season. Are you affraid the USF might actually be a contender one day? The reality of is we were playing great and deserved the reankings we got. Now we are playing shitty and desrve the new rankings. Everyone saying "see... we told you they sucked" is full of shit and knows it. Reguardless what we end the season we still knocked down 2 big teams this year. I still call this a victory. NO college team has risen to the top 10 this fast. Be F&^cking proud. It's only going to get better. We have a great coaching staff and some great recruiting.

This Gator fan does not hate USF in anyway!

I see no reason for an educated and logical Gator to have any hate towards USF. It makes no sense to me. I found them to be entertaining, but felt they were pretenders, not contenders (see my above post). I also believe, most of their fans suddenly became fans at 6-0, but not so much at 6-3.

The only threat I see, is they will create more work for UF coaches, to land the premier talent in recruiting.

Keep in mind, Grothe was passed on by UF, Miami and FSU, in offereing him a scholarship, and he settled on USF, who did. At some point though, USF will land players that UF is interested in. But, it will take more than a flash in the pan season, to recruit against the what UF can offer.

Go Gators, and go usf, as long as they don't threaten UF too much. :-)

 

It's over. Most bandwagon fans won't stick around at 6-3. But, they did creat a following of new USF fans, and that is where it begins.

But, 6-3 has been a good season for USF! And it may present a nice bowl game payday.
