OK kids listen up,

Grant has been fighting a terrible sickness these last few weeks and it has been a rough road for him and his family. I do not have all of the facts yet but I wanted to get this out here ASAP so everyone knew where he is at and to start sending out the mojo to get him better fast.

It seems this illness has manfested a drop in his hemoglobin count and that caused the doctors to do more extensive testing and they discovered he has a very badly damaged valve in his heart. They are discuccing surgery to fix but the blood loss he is exhibiting is making that decision iffy at best. they are contemplating mech. heart replacement but that is also sketchy.

Right now he is touch and go, kids..... and that is the the best prognosis we have.

Many of us have known (or at least known of) Grant for years. he is a very active poster and contributor to this site.

I know I speak for all of us when I say I hope he gets better quickly and I offer my thoughts and strength to him and his family.

I am going to be organizing a care package to be sent to his house for him and his family, any donations will of course be gratefully accepted. please PM me if you know what he and his family enjoy as far as food, drink, games etc.

This is devastating news to learn of. I hope he and his family get back on track ASAP.

Grant's son Jeremy has been PMing me asking me to call Grant on friday. I was not around my computer until later last night and this morning Mitch (S2kSuzuka) gives me a ring to get me up to speed. it started as "hey give me a ring because I have to go in for surgery at 2pm and we need to get the SPGP RV stuff worked out" to "its not looking good, I could go at any time" in a matter of a day.

I dont know all the details and I will post what I can as I find out.


everybody pray for him, he sounds pretty down in the dumps right now and with good reason. He needs to know people are pulling for him.

WOW . Hope that Grant gets to feeling better , sucks that this all started with the flu bug that has been going around. Rob , let us know what WE as a group can do to help .
