Formula Drift is coming to Homestead, and this year we have a driver running a Honda 2000 (sorry, couldn't resist). Chris Jeanneret and his Speedfactory Team will try and get their S2000 drift car on track, and we need to come out and show our support for the first S2000 competing in this series in a long time. It was suggested by a few that we should have a meet and drive to the drift event on Saturday after breakfast. The details for the meet-up are as follows:

When: Saturday, May 31st 2014 at 10:00AM
Where: Cracker Barrel Old Country Store
155 S Krome Ave, Florida City, FL 33034
How Much: Depends on how hungry you are!

I will be there early to reserve a table for us, so when 10 o'clock rolls around you will all be able to come in and eat. It's a ten minute drive from the restaurant to the track. Buy your tickets in advance so we can all enter and park together. Tickets are $28 for Saturday, and $32 for a two-day pass. Jesse and myself will be there on both days because we're nerds. If you want to enter your car into the Fatlace Offset Kings Showcase (car show) the tickets are 38 dollars and can be purchased Here.

They haven't come up with a roll-in schedule or a gates open specific to the Showcase yet, so keep an eye on the site or call and ask if you plan to enter into the showcase.

Alright, I was just at homestead for a DE today. You WOULD NOT BELIEVE the amount of rubber coming up in turns 2,3, and 4 where the drifting event was held. It was insane.
