I may have to install a second one for that purpose

No.....it is my steering wheel mounted "Push to Talk" button for my GMRS/FRS walkie talkie. It works great. Here is the linky PTT Switch The one they sent me does not have a coiled cord and I am happy it doesnt.

It is designed to work with Motorola radios but they make a variety of adapters to fit others. I suggest you call them with your particular application to see if they can make it work. I have motorola radios and a motorola head set so it was simple.

Now I can yell at Barry the whole trip up and back
