Default Hello and I need some help!

So here I am looking to buy my first S2000. My father-in-law has owned one previously in England and my wife has fully agreed to us purchasing one. I have been a fan of the model for many years and test drove an '03 back in 2006. But, here I sit anxiously anticipating which car will be the perfect fit for me. And, as I normally do, I have been scouring the interwebs meticulously researching each candidate as if my entire existence relied on this 1 car. To my amusement I have come across a few that have either been the wrong timing or have been sold before I can commit to paying. Now it seems a car has appeared and may be just the right kind of deal.

So where is the dilemma you may ask...

It just so happens to be that I am a bit cheap and don't think my wallet deserves to shell out the extortion that CarFax likes to call a history report, until I ABSOLUTELY have to.

Which brings me here...

Can anyone please tell me something about this car...I have looked left, right and center only to find that no one has searched/paid for a history report on her VIN. I will post a few pics and if anyone could give me a heads up it would be much appreciated! Cheers!

I'd pass just for the idiotic "illest" valve cover.

I agree. I can't tell if it is a shadow, but based on the improper fitting wheels and stretched tires, it looks like those fenders are pulled like crazy.
If you are willing to dump the money required to fix a few things, it could potentially be a nice car. Repaint the valve cover, sell the wheels, use that money to buy wheels and tires that actually fit, and buy some new new fenders and have them painted. I would be concerned about how much the rears have been rolled/pulled. Those are not as easy to fix. I would definitely fork over the money for a carfax, and have it thoroughly inspected on a lift to check for damages prior to buying.

the guy used to roll with myself and others in a car club called Sunworks. I forget his name (Manny maybe) but the car was pretty well maintained while he owned it.

Shameless marketing plug----->If you want a kick-ass, black, modified S2000 let me know. I am putting mine on the open market very soon.
