Default Helmets

I am going to buy a helmet for Autocross and Sebring. I have not been able to find any Snell SA helmets at cycle dealers. They only have M. Is there really any difference between them? Should I be looking somewhere else? I know there are plenty on line, but I want to try the fit first. Should I just get an M? Lots of questions I know, but I really need some help.
Thanks

Don

If you are doing Sebring you will probably need an SA. The difference between M and SA is fire protection. The SA has nomex...the M doesn't.

Autocross will allow M helmets...many roadcourse events will not.

You will probably not find an SA at a cycle shop. Unless you have a race shop near by, you will probably have to order via the internet. Try Racer Wholesale. They will have instructions on how to measure your head in order to select the correct size.

And I think he was insinuating his head is a little on the large side, not the small side.

That concludes your lesson for the day. That will be one dollar.
