Default Help! My top was slashed!

Hey all,

As the title says, my top was slashed while parked outside of a restaurant-the only thing they took was my cellphone that was in the cupholder. I'm guessing they weren't sure if it has an alarm, so they didnt bother trying to open the doors.
Anyway, I talked to Bandiscoot (Scott) and he says there's someone in the Orlando area that you can buy and have a softop installed..Just looking for a reputable, trustworthy person/place to do it.

fortunately his seats didn't get stolen ... only his cell phone. Unfortuntately for him the top was just replaced by the previous owner a year or so ago.

I have yet to hear of any S2000 here in Ocala having the seats stolen. I think it is not as much of a 'prize' around here

O town is a hot spot for this type of $hit
If it is not to bad you maybe able to do a repair to hold you over til you get a new top.

The repair has held very well for me

Sorry to hear about this. Not the things you want to hear before taking a trip there; I'll be visiting Orlando this coming Saturday for a day (Disney). Hope everything works out for you.

Orlando is definitely the hot-spot for slashed tops.

Hopefully we can avoid that trend up here in the 'sticks'

man, the pics above are relieving. Unfortunately, they slashed about 12-14 inches of my top. I used 2 pieces of velcro, one on each side, so the adhesive sides bonded to eachother along the tear. It's a temprary fix, eventually I'll have to replace it-i'm just not keeping any valuables in the car anymore and I'm glad I live in a gated community that's fairly secure and no hoodlums live around here. I'll just wait and save up the money......who knows, I might even look into hardtops at some point and just be done with it. I'm really bummed about it.....some of you know the feeling. If they had just had the balls to reach down and open the door, they could've had my wallet, iPod, and 2 checkbooks. I might even just drive around my '03 Acura CL-S for awhile
