Default hhmmm wiring? help?

So i've been having some problem with the S,

when i first bought the car my electrical outlet didn't work so i went to Honda and they said that the person who installed the cd player pretty much made a mess out of it and he never reconnected the outlet, so i got that fixed.

a couple months later my driver speaker went out, which i thought i blew out but now it occasionally starts working and it sounds fine.

about a week ago my actual cd player started to turn off then back on when i hit a bump or took a turn too hard or fast

well just now as i was pulling into my neighborhood my wheel locked up for a second then it was fine. i also noticed that the dash lights were slightly flickering.

i dont know if this is a wiring problem or if its the alternator.

suggestions, comments, concerns?

That sounds like something is more messed up than anything you could possible do by installing a head unit. For the steering wheel to lock up, the wire from the key cylinder must be disrupted. For the dash lights to mess up.. I would think you've got a bad ground or something along those lines.

Check the main ground wire that goes from your car battery to the firewall and make sure it is on tight with no wiggle and no buildup of any kind!

Aftermarlet radio?

If not do the the steering wheel controls operate the radio?

The reason I ask is poeple butcher the radio harness and/or use cimps/twisteee fot thier wire connections...

What ever it is, it sounds dangerous! If your steering wheel is locking up, you need to get that fixed asap!!

You need to see if you have exposed wires; pull the radio aswell as look under the dash...

Take pics if you can!

Check all the connections into and around the fuse box...

if the sterring is locking up, check the main plugs around the fuse box and the steering column itself. one of the plugs may be coming loose.

the main ignition plug is brown, it goes from the steering column to right around the fuse box. It sounds like you have more than one issue with wiring.
