Hood Cutting Session on Sat, Oct 7th?
I won't be able to make it. I'm going to be in Georgia that weekend and it's not looking like I'm going to find a stock hood in time for it anyway. Oh well, maybe next time if there is one and I don't take the coward's way out and go with a CF hood in the meantime.
I have a sheet of the grille material that I'm willing to donate to the cause (Patrick has first dibs on some of it) that should be enough to do at least a couple of hoods. But someone needs to pick it up from me before that weekend.
For those who have Silverstone hoods who would rather not leave the edges of the hood raw, here's a tip that has worked well for me in touching up paint. The factory touchup paint is a lousy match and is way too dark. Buy a bottle of Silverstone touchup paint and a bottle of the Sebring, and mix about ten percent by volume of Sebring into the Silverstone. Don't forget to shake both bottles very well first beforehand and you will probably have to dump out some of the Silverstone to add the Sebring. Use a fine-tipped artist's brush to touch up the hood edges, not the applicator that comes with the paint. The color turns out to be a very close match. YMMV

Will only be in town two days. I get back the night of the 6th. Have to do a couple of things to my car when I get home. F&*(*^ heat down here.
So a few new parts are being ordered. So depending on what happens before I get home, I will let you know.
