mac

its a preference/connectivity/comfort thing I have been on both sides of the spectrum for many years. Macs are good for what they are good at music, video yadda yadda yadda, but PC is just what most of the world uses and designs for.

I use Macs for my multimedia development but they are target boxes supplied by my clients that I develop the presention directly onto (kiosks, stand alone exhibits etc etc)

For the most part, web designing on macs is laborious, even if you use a PC based internet browser there are subtle differences in the way it interprets code. I find that developing websites on a PC is just faster. I get each project to look and behave as close as I can across the board but since like 3-5% people browse the internet with a Mac it is counter productive to develop on a mac when I have to make a site or project work on mostly PC/Unix.

I dont want to start yet another debate on Mac Vs. PC. Macs rock but PC is my main base of operations. 95% of the world functions on PC/unix backbone so why get a platform that has to do something foriegn to comply with that functionality. Vista will get us PC closer to the Mac style of operation as far as user friendly bells and whistles. Graphic program docking gizmos, jelly buttons and transparent window dressings are not my thing anyway HAHAHAHAHA

Truthfully if one operates as much as they can like the other (either Mac producing windows style stuff or windows trying to emulate Mac usage etc etc) whats the difference??
