I've stopped upgrading my computer a long time ago. I'll do it every few years and catch up, but I know I'll never always have the top of the line/fastest one.
If I can watch p0rn, upload a webpage, listen to my Ipod, then I'm happy. I'll save he games for my 360 and PS3 when it comes out. I may even slum and get the Wii. But, unless you play diehard games, why have gthe latest and greatest computer? I use Photoshop often, and can't see a reason to upgrade just for photos.
But, like I said, I would splurge (sp) every few years to catch up, and that seems like what you've done. I just wouldn't do it every year. I'm sure Willie Gee would though.
Actually as far as my personal computers are concerned they are mostly resurrected MACs brought back from the dead. One G4 laptop cost me $50. total.
At work, it's a different story. I have the latest and greatest, for the most part. But that's not on my dime.

With a mac you could install apache and develop code for your sites on it. If you write standard html it should render fine in Firefox/KHTML/opera/etc right?
I just cant stand IE only sites, i think microsoft stopped making IE for Solaris at ver 5.0 or so, and it sucked then too. :-)

Yeah, my last computer purchase was 4-5 years ago. I am going to wipe the drive (10 character overwrite = government style data wipe
) of my old computer and then network it as a server for the house.
Anybody good at dropping network cable into walls??? WOOOOOT!
