I am glad you are back.
I do not take credit for anything regarding this solution. Ben is a credit to this community and it was everyone's understanding and effort that made that thread what it was.
I only spoke up for both sides and got the ball rolling on how important I/we thought Ben was to us. I was on a very high and dangerous fence. I hope i looked at everything objectively and presented both sides in a light that was clear and easy to understand. Everyone has their feelings regarding many policies here on S2ki. This particular situation hit very close to home for many of us and I am glad that a solution was found.
I want to use this experience to catapult the "sponsor" ideas we have been kicking around for two years now. The time has come.
I want to set up a committee and a brainstorm meeting at a central location very soon to outline an idea we have been back burnering for a long time. I invite all the CO's, prospective vendors and any member who has ideas to be a part of this meeting and help us develop something that should be very cool.
I am going to use the holiday break to come up with a structured outline of what I have in my head and then I want to use that idea to solidify a great solution for people like todd and jeff and james and ben and Oster and all of the other great resources we have around us. Many of you know the basis of what I have in mind and over the break I will finalize my ideas and then present them in a thread about it.
I think we need to have a big meeting soon to go over ideas like this and other things we need to address.
Ben you are a good friend and an irreplacable asset to this community. I am very proud to be a part of a community that is able to congeal the way we did. I am glad to see we can communicate effectively and share ideas (even if we all do not agree) to come to reasonable conclusions............it's just an awesome, awesome thing to witness.
