i'm a weirdo
Gotta love this car...
it begs to see open road.... so i'm planning another summer trip on a crusade...
same one.. to chicago..
the S2000 is cheaper then flying...and, and,
do i need tell you guys almost the same rush as landing and take off, only we get to do that each and every mile.. the roads between here an there and treasures for the S2000 community and I shall visit where i can.. pic's soon to follow.. but i am lazy too..
I started off with making mod's again to my S2000 pictures don't do it justice..
I took care of an oil leak I had since day one at 78,ooo miles from the cam bolt... i replaced the gasket material between the vtec solenoid an the head... and the cam cover gasket an coil gaskets... i may still have something happening but all looks cleaner then anone i know's ever seen my engine bay...
still attempting to get my axle nuts completely done as per someone who knows whatthetodoboutthat. . but, got some grease to'm and retorqued so let's see..
. Ben.. hasn't clicked yet..
for all that I wanta thank a guy i met in a parking lot and a lady i spoke with on the phone...
Coggin Honda in St Augustine...they worked with me before on parts prices, not the best on the planet, but i don't have to argue with them over any not right or warrenty issue from get go so.. makes all the difference just for that on a car like our's.. this Lady built this communications with me over the littest items i bought.. i gotta respect that alone, an oil filter... my CR Shiftknob.. anyway, many of you know i am terrible an my car has had all these leaks since any one can remember.. ask anyone.. the cam bolt leak for sure is a day one never before repaired... the S2000 doesn't deserve me..
the vtec solenoid gasket is all news to me,
i was ready to buy a new unit, all the info was saying no honda vtec has failed.. s2ki data search says, replace this gasket.. so.. finally done... maybe i can keep a quart a oil inside longer..
all eco minded as i am... any way, I pick the car up.. they they have cleaned an washed
and cleaned and washed
and god is this my S2000.. you guys know me.. i had bugs growing on there since last years road trip out to Oklahoma.. they're gone.. my wheel brake dust had layers on top on layers, i don't wash this car, take a poll on that one... this car rocks.. and my hats off to a crew actually from St Augustine Coggin Honda..
clutch master's next... it's only been leaking 11o,ooo miles... guess it's time for a new one...
and after that, every item of the not working since i bought this car.. will actually be fixed.. so of 189k miles, this car has been awesome and always needed this work done.. wow, what a beast... and i trash it.. i don't deserve this car..
i can not wait to see the mountains between point A, my home in the First City on the First Coast.. St Augustine Florida.. ( they didn't have to pay me for that )
And point A... i won't repeat that whole thing again... and Chicago... oh how i miss the Dan Ryan already...and i get to take my S2000 on another Great Adventure in Motoring.....
Making all this possible for me to test drive a new environment / sound system.. a comfotable crusie.. an chicago looks good to me..
Mom's in Louisiana for a month with my sister...

i would enjoy that very much.. i've been road testing before i head out so last night was a drive around the loop of jacksonville and today was daytona, i hadn't seen the speedway in awhile...and it's a nice jog to see what leaks an what wobbles before open road. i might have the alignment looked at tomorrow...
Good luck on your trip to Chicago. Two weekends ago, I drove to Indianapolis for the Indy500! I had great trip and really liked I-24 between Chattanooga and Nashville! Actually, flying would have been cheaper however, in the 6 years that I have owned the S, she had never been out of the state. I think she also enjoyed the trip!
Have a safe trip & enjoy,
David
