Oscar
It depends heavily upon area. The hubby and I live in Altamonte Springs (outside of O-town) and have All State for our policy. His car is a Chevy SSR (w/vette motor) and I have my S and both are our dailys. We pay approximately $230 a month with max coverage and $250.00 deductibles.
I had to have a claim at the end of last year when I was hit in a Publix parking lot and surprisingly had no problems with my insurance company nor did our rates increase.
When I was free and single
I had Geico and my insurance was about $160.00 a month and I was really happy with Geico. I also lived in the Orlando city limits and was right by the airport.

You must be coming to Macdill.
My rates went up, and then you have PIP. (Personal Injury Protection) Got to have it, even if you have health insurance.
You may have to shop around, raise your deductible ( I had to) I came down from NOVA, MD and I was surprised my rates went up.
I had USAA, I had a very bad expierence with them. All three claims were comprehensive, and they tried to raise my rates. So I went with State Farm.
I wish you luck.

Actually, PIP is no more.
The state of Florida got rid of its starting in October I believe. It has been a HUGE fiasco. It's why we have increased all our coverage so much.
Allstate does offer a policy that is akin to the PIP that we lost and the hubby and I are getting more information on that.

What part of the state are you moving to?
I don't think it is that expensive here in Jax...might let a few of the Navy guys we have here respond...most are under 25 and I would guess USAA is the carrier of choice.
