So ... yesterday Christina and i decided to head out to Gator Joe's for some food and fun. We pull out of the driveway and I immediately notice about 15-20 cars parked in front of the house about 5 houses down. Just another party at a neighbors ... right? WRONG!

As we get closer i realize that there is a Marion County Sheriffs crime scene van and several officers in the front yard along with a few DEA agents! The entire front yard of the home is literally covered with fully matured pot plants! Wow ... all i could do i smile and wave at a few of the officers and they were all smiling back at me.

Marion County (along with several other Florida Counties) have been on a push to close down the 'new' idea of using nicer homes in gated communities as grow-houses. This process has flourished the last few years as homes remain unsold and the nicer communities are so secure (and less 'obvious').

So much for me finding a nice, quiet golf community to reside!

that same thing happened by my parents house in southern California. They had a nice boat out front and were always in front of their house playing with their kids. Police pulled out something like 200 plants.

Did you ever smell it?

 

happens all the time in NSB, but the cops usually just take a plant home and go about the rest of their day.
