Post Introduction/Hello

Hey Everyone,

I am most likely going to be moving down to Florida in January

I have just applied to Florida Institute of Technology and Embry Riddle to finish up my schooling and get my commercial flight rating.

Please let me know what you guys think about the area of Melbourne (FIT) and Daytona Beach (Embry). Which would you recommend for the college student?
I need alittle help with my decision since I do not know much about the area

I will be making a trip down within the next few weeks so hopefully there will be a meet that I can swing by

Thanks
Heath

Daytona FTW!

I live just south in NSB. Melbourne is cool, but it isn't as young as Daytona.

Welcome!

If you can swing Embry Riddle, much more prestigous flight program. DB is a fun area and easier to get to interesting places in Orlando from I-4.

Melbourne, is pretty dead for a college student unless the beach is the only thing you are interested in doing for fun. And I'm a Florida Tech grad (masters anyway).

And there are some s2ki members in DB, including a couple going to ER. And maybe one of em may need a roommate. (Kris...you still need one?)
