Default Moving to Baltimore.

Hello all. I'm Phil from Evans Tuning (I may know or have talked to some of you before on the phone). Just wanted to jump on here and introduce myself as I am officially moving to Baltimore in August - just me though, not the whole shop.

The reason for the move - my girlfriend is starting dental school at the University of Maryland so we decided to rent a house together and move into the area for the next 4 years. I have lived in PA my entire life so I'm wondering what to expect, if there are any local meets or anything of the sort where I can meet some people in the area and get to know some of you.

Anyone have any thoughts on the S2K in the city? Been to visit the area twice now - definitely nothing like what I currently call home but I like it.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and hopefully I'll meet some of you later this summer. Oh and a shot of the car of course:

Welcome to the area

There are a bunch of Baltimore area members. I live closer to DC right now, but I'll be moving to Ellicott City in the middle of August.

Where area are you moving to, exactly?

We're moving into a new construction right on the edge of Washington Village. I have heard mixed reviews about the area but all of the people I met on the block seemed very nice.

Side note - I'm human and apparently have had a hard time using a forum outside of my official work with them. Due to these 2 facts I posted an introduction thread in the main forum instead of just a post in the intro thread. Hopefully I will be forgiven.

That's awesome. What area are you in?

I wasn't that concerned for my personal safety. More concerned about bringing the car down / parking it on the street. Driveways are prevalent in the boonies.
Thanks all for the warm welcome!

well originally im from literally 3 blocks away from the school but i live north of Baltimore now in Towson. Its really not that bad man, dont listen to the hype, i grew up in downtown Baltimore and saw my share of crap but it was never crazy bad! Just stay out of certain areas at night lol. And depending on what part of town youre parking in you should be fine, theft isnt as much an issue as people who just dont know how to properly parallel park! Your bumper may take a tad beating depending on your neighbors! When ya moving in?
