The FAQ says the install should take 3-6 hours. I don't know if that's "experienced mechanic" time or "idiot like me" time, but either way it won't cost too much to get a shop to do it.
he also has to setup your car with your AEM EMS system. thats what would prolly take the longest time.

Update:
I traded several emails with Jimmy from FujiRacing, and he's been very helpful in answering all my questions. Here's what he told me:

TODA and TWM built kits that are tuned for maximum high-end gain. They are directly competing with forced induction methods, which is why they show little to no low-end torque gain. This is also why people have (rightly) said they do not offer as much of a hp benefit for your money as a supercharger or turbo.

The goal of Jimmy's kit is to increase low- to mid-range torque, which will improve throttle response. He will not be competing with FI, which means his kit will (hopefully) provide a different benefit. This benefit (better response) is more attractive to me than the high-end gains that FI would give. He is also aiming for a price point well below TODA and TWM, and he intends to have a kit on the market before the end of the year.

I asked about the issues of hot air being drawn into the trumpets; he said that has not been a problem for his Miata. However, some people have built plenums around their intake trumpets. I'm not sure if there would be room under our hoods to do so. If there is not, I would probably reconsider buying this kit because I do not want to risk drawing dust and dirt into my engine. I've heard that the sock filters are not very effective. I asked Jimmy for some more information about that aspect.

I would stop the dust but would hurt the looks and the cool sound.
That's why you make it easily removable

Anyone who saw Chris's/Nick (pappas) car can confirm that you can build a huge plenum under our hood. That car was FI so I dont know how fitting one around ITB's would be but there should be tons of room.

I'm not sure what that means...but my guess is that, since FI gives more boost at high RPM, they just stay at WOT the whole time. They probably don't care about low-end torque because they onlt go through that range once.
