You would need a EMS or piggy back any ways on a FI setup.

Now Jimmy's ITB have a vacuum canister so you could run a MAP sensor but you would still need to modify the fuel curve by a %Vs pressure because of the increased cross sectional flow path that you get with ITB.

Most ITB do not have this vacuum canister so an EMS is always a necessity because fuel maps would nedd to be based on RPM and TPS voltage only.

If Jimmy's ITB's have a large enough vacuum canister to even out the induction pulses to get a very stable vacuum reading it might be possible to run the stock ECU with a greddy piggy back to increase the injector pulse width by a %.

VolkGT-N you may want to mention this to Jimmy to see if this would be possible.

Just thinking out loud the % fuel factor would be easily set on a Dyno based on A/F post ITB install. Main thing to look out for is maxing out the stock injectors and/or not having enough adjustability on the piggy back to over come the stock fuel curves once the ITB are installed.

One of the main things holding me back from getting a ITB setup is the CARB problems.

If it was possible to retain the stock ECU and use a piggy back to correct the fuel curves then we would at least pass the ECU check for emission testing and if properly tuned the A/F/emissions would be ok at idle.

The PCV (emission control device) could also be plumed in to the vacuum canister to prevent the

Not necessarily! On Jimmy's site he has the Miata kit with AEM ECU for $3,300. That's still half the price of the TODA kit. Once he gets an S2000 kit out it might cost more than that, but it's still quite a deal.

The FAQ says the install should take 3-6 hours. I don't know if that's "experienced mechanic" time or "idiot like me" time, but either way it won't cost too much to get a shop to do it.

The price should be close to the Honda ITBs he has listed. Around 2k since there should be much difference.

Install should be around $250 - $400.

I would love to see one of his kits on a car.
