ITB's are in! WOOHOO!
i am a car guy but i don't understand ITB's. i know they sound cool and i am sure they add some power because there is no bottle neck in the intake tract, BUT, how do you filter the air?
congrats on the Jenvey's!!

they add the throttle response right when you hit the gas. The only way I can explain it is when you drive an ITB car, than youll understand. That is the only way to truly see the power of em.
They do make many types of filters for the runners such as foam inserts, plennums, air boxes, filter screens and intake chambers.

ITBs are pretty simple in concept. I'll try to explain. When the intake valve opens there is a pressure differance with the cylinder sucking in air. Once the valve closes the air that was rushing in now hits the valve and bounces backwards in the intake runners. In a normal intake manifold it hit the wall of the plenium and bounces back and forth between the wall and the closed valve. This is why runner langth on a NA motor is very important, because you don't want the air bouncing away from the valve when it opens. With ITBs there is no bouncing, once the valve opens air is instantly pulled in and that why the throttle response is greater. Then add in the fact that you are increasing throttle body size by almost 300%

Cool! Make sure you use the same dyno so everyone can compare results.

Granted my peak numbers won't be quite that high since I'm not starting with a baseline quite that strong, but I'm looking for a similar delta. That midrange punch is gonna be sa-weeeet
