I hope everyone is ok and no one had too much damage to their homes. Michelle and I went to Jacksonville and stayed with some friends, so how our home is we have no idea but the important thing is we are ok and will be heading back as soon as they let people back in. If anyone has any news feel free to call me at 8505290388 as all I know is from the weather channel. Thanks and good luck

So far we've gotten off pretty lucky here in Tallahassee -- right now it's fairly breezy, some rain here and there, and scattered power outages, but fewer than 2500 people without power (according to the City at about 9am edt). I stashed the S in a friend's garage last night as there are too many trees close to my driveway for comfort.

Glad you guys were able to make it out and over to safety. From what I hear on TV, Pensacola took a pretty good beating. Hope you find everything OK when you get back over there.

Be safe...

We road out the storm in Oxford, AL near Talladega. At 2:44am the radar placed the eye directly over our house. We have not been able to get in touch with anyone to find out what kind of shape our home is in. We're keeping our fingers crossed both for ourselves and all our friends here.

It's been rainy, and very windy here. We've lost power a few times, but other wise OK. Other's here have had worse luck. I hope all of you in W. Florida are safe.

My parents are just NW of Pensacola in Cantonment, they got hit pretty hard. No significant damage to the house itself, but their property is pretty well trashed. I came up for the weekend bringing supplies (water, generator, gas, etc.) and some much needed manpower for cleaning up. 3 days and we barely made a dent in it. Here are some of the pictures I brought back:

Jeff, I learned to hate Pine trees when Fredrick hit in 79.
