Obviously you did some research before your purchase. What made you go with the sc instead of the turbo? Also, did you do any research on the speed-craft turbo? I'm seriously considering going with the speed-craft; and I'm curious to hear about your experiences. Finally why comptech?

Sorry to hear your car's still in the shop J ! Should be good as new. (Nice Fresh Berlina Black Paint!!)

Caxin, I thought about the turbo but all the information about them said they needed extensive tuning and I wanted something that was plug & play , which is what I got with the SC.

If I choose I can fine tune it down the line to increase the HP a little more. I have no problems with detonation or lag, and have since put close to 1k miles on it with no apparent problems. Went for a drive this past weekend and traveled 165mi normal driving some cruise control and a little vtec, used 5 gallons of gas which I thought was excellent.

As far as which SC to buy it seemed easy to pick. I bought the one that has been out the longest, all the bugs worked out. It produces close to the same horsepower as Vortech without the aftercooler. It was not the cheapest one but was put together by a company that does nothing but modify, race and track Honda's and Acura's and in my eyes that was the clincher.

Gotcha. Have you heard anything about the speed-craft products? When I called up there last week with questions; the gentleman that I spoke to said that the turbo was "fairly" simple to install. The only problem was going to be running the turbo to the stock exhaust. But I figured what the hell, if I'm spending 6k on the turbo what is another 600 on exhaust. He also said that their product are already tuned and can not be altered unless you buy some kind of gizmo. The only reason why I'm telling you all this is because I want to make sure I wasn't misled. What do you think?

I've also read that a large diameter single exhaust is a must, and that putting larger injectors to make the fuel mixture richer is a good idea . It's up to you which you choose, the speedcraft kit has been out now for the longest amount of time and I haven't heard of any problems other than some tuning, but they might have ironed them out by now.

I can tell you that I personally saw one of their first production kits about 2 years ago in action and it was very impressive. It was just too much for me (cost, install headaches, tickets for doing mach 1 and possible tuning). The SC's not as quick as the turbo but it's as fast as I want to go. (For Now?)

I agree with everything fastracks2000 has said. You can make S/Cs as fast as a lot of them but it costs way more money. Underdrive pulley, AEM ECU, aftercooler, ect.
